Henry Disston was an important maker of handsaws; his firm also made sawblades for circular sawmills and reciprocating sawmills. They are listed here, on this site for makers of woodworking machinery, because they also had a minor sideline in drag saws, which are essentially big handsaws fitted with motors. They also made saw filing machinery.
Disston became a division of H. K. Porter Co. in 1955.
Note that this website is focused on woodworking machinery and not hand tools. We cannot respond to inquiries related to Disston's hand tools.
