This firm appears to have been established about 1908 to manufacture a patent wood-steaming retort in preparation for bending. The retort used steam and pressure to more effectively soften wood. The company lasted into at least the early 1920s.
The patent for the company's initial design was granted to William E. Curry, and he is our best guess for company founder. This patent was applied for in mid-1908 and granted in 1911.
