The Harrison Machine Works was founded by John Cox & Cyrus Roberts in 1848 and incorporated in 1878. They are known to have been a manufacturer of steam traction engines (ca 1880's), portable steam engines, the Belleville separator, the Great Western separator, weighers, baggers, wagon loaders, and the Dingee-Woodbury horse power. They used the name Jumbo and a portrait of P. T. Barnum's elephant of the same name on their machinery. The last steam engine sold was in 1937.
