Sometime in the post-war era, this company made a combination tablesaw, horizontal borer, and grinder.

The company dates back to 1901 or earlier. The trail goes cold after 1954. The few data points we can find after 1950 are for "Eastern Bolt & Nut Corp." of Newark, NJ, which may or may not be the same company.

  • Mike Levine brought this maker to our attention.
  • A 1901 issue of American Machinist said the following: "The Eastern Bolt & Nut Company is building a factory at East Providence, RI".
  • A 1902 issue of Sanitary and Heating Age has this: "The Rhode Island Supply & Engineering Company are doing the piping in the boiler and engine house of the new plant of the Eastern Bolt & Nut Company, at East Providence."
  • An issue of Domestic Engineering and the Journal of Mechanical Contracting for 1907 had this tidbit: "The Eastern Bolt & Nut Company, of East Providence, BI, has recently added to its main structure a building 60x200."
