Several wood lathes made by this company have surfaced, two in the Midwest and one in Oregon. More recently several 18” drill presses were also discovered, but only one of them has the name Vico cast into the head. All three of the presses showed up in Salem between 2017 and 2020. All three differ slightly in other respects, as described in the entries here.

More pertinent to the company history is a short advertisement found in the April 20 and 21, 1947 editions of The Oregonian newspaper explaining quite a bit about this effort. Here is the text of that ad:

MACHINE TOOLS - drill presses, and wood turning lathes, non-production. Exc. materials and workmanship. Guar. for 10 yrs. No pot-metal. Only steel, aluminum and best quality gray iron used in this equipment. If you want a good tool that will outlast anything on the market today, write Vico Corp.. 2400 S. Cottage, Salem, Or. Direct dealership only. No jobbers.
