This company had a patent on "the variety molding & molding machine for cutting irregular forms". Previously manufactured by Messrs. Carpenter & Plass, also by Wm. L. Miller, they took over manufacture. From 1869 ads in SA, there was a messy lawsuit and advertising war against A. S. and J. Gear & Co., regarding patent infringement.
