Cady had a shop at the corner of Western Avenue and Fletcher Street in Lowell. For some years before 1891 he made engine and hand lathes. He got out of that business as it was over-crowded in Lowell. He then specialized in making Jackson's patent electric engines, and Semple's book-trimming machine.

  • The information here is from the 1891 book, Inland Massachusetts Illustrated. It appears that Cady's product line was focused on metal-working lathes.
