This company was active about 1888 through 1893, and probably for longer. As their name suggests, they made wood-carving machines.

  • The company was assigned a pair of 1891 carving-machine patents that were granted to Thomas L. Smith of Reedsburg, WI. Both patents were applied for in 1888.
  • Listed in the Official Catalogue of Exhibits.  World's Columbian Exposition Department of Machinery Hall, Chicago, 1893.
  • We have seen a reference to a lawsuit, "Milwaukee Carving Co. v. Brunswick-Balke Collender Co., 7 Cir., 126 F. 171."
