This company was founded in 1905 by brothers Carl Bodine and Paul Bodine to manufacture fractional horsepower motors. At some point they seem to have manufactured a direct-drive spindle sander, but it was only a minor diversion from their motor business.
Bodine is still active and making motors, gear motors, and speed controls.
