Popular Science, Vol. 153, No. 11, Nov. 1948, Pg. 231.

The company manufactured Timberline tilting arbor table saws in the post-WWII era. Initially available as an 8" by 1947, the company introduced a 10" version in mid-1948. Advertising indicates that the saws were designed for contractors and industrial use, with cast iron tops and motors from ½ to 2 HP.

  • Gilbert Sanchez listed a Timberline saw. He provided the following information on the labeling on the saw:

  • Another example in the Photo Index has a later serial number, and the company name is now "Westbuilt Metal Products Co."
  • Background information on this company came from Leland Dexter, whose father Wilbur H. Dexter was involved with starting this company. Wilbur Dexter was a machinist, machine shop owner, and inventor, and his brother owned what may be a prototype saw, marked Dexcraft.
  • A patent search from 1920 on failed to turn up any patents assigned to this company.
