According to their website, this firm was established in 1854 to make steam engines, sawmills, and flour mill machinery. They also made Aram's patent axle turning lathe starting in 1874, drop hammers in 1887 and a cold hydraulic tire setting machine in 1894. They are still in business today, although their sawmill machinery is long in their past. They now specialize in hydraulic presses. They are part of Doerfer Companies.

An 1882 patent for a sawmill edger was assigned to Williams, White & Co. The patent was granted to Alfred Williams, and one of the witnesses was T. H. Williams. In 1887 one James J. Kirby patented a sawmill set-works that was assigned to this maker.
