Listed in the 1874 work, Wiley's American iron trade manual of the leading iron industries of the United States, as a maker of "mill and wood-working machinery, water-wheels, etc."

"R. Daniels" may have been Reuben Daniels, who was operating R. Daniels Machine Co. in nearby Woodstock, and who was the brother of Thomas E. Daniels, inventor of the Daniels planer.
