We have just two reports of 20th-century bandsaws from this maker.
Information Sources
- From Google Books, a snippet of a 1948 issue of Modern Machine Shop: "...a band saw of four-wheel design is now being produced by the T. Farrell Machine Co., 2834 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley 2, Calif."
- Also from Google Books, a snippet of a 1948 issue of Machinery: "....by the T. Farrell Machine Co., 2834 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley 2, Calif... The four wheels over which the band-saw blade runs are 12 inches in diameter."
- Report of a four-wheel bandsaw from "Farrell". The machine says "patent pending" but we have not found such a patent. We did find a 1928 patent for a meat-cutting saw that was granted to a Fred Farrell of Sacramento, CA; it is possible that the four-wheel bandsaw is meant for cutting meat.
- Report of a 32" bandsaw with "T. FARRELL CO. / BERKELEY, CA" cast into it. The saw is all cast iron, including the blade covers, one of which carries the Farrell name as described, plus a large "V" for Victory.
