Listed in Alexander Farnham's book, Early tools of New Jersey and the men who made them, shows an advertisement for this firm. The ad shows the "best bracket and scroll saws that are now in use", and also mentions their circular saw, which seems to be a tablesaw. The drawing of their scrollsaw says "Patented by J. E. Adams & Son Nov. 11th 1885." In fact, the patent application was made on November 4, 1885 and was issued on May 11, 1886.
