Listed in the EAIA "Directory of American Toolmakers" as a maker of a hand-cranked drill press, though they were far better known for their steel squares. Apparently several variations of this maker name were used.
The mark "E. S. CO." is reported on a beam boring machine, and may in fact be from Eagle Sqare.
This firm was taken over by Stanley Rule & Level Co. sometime after 1881.
