We have a report of a flat-belt-powered shaper with this name cast into the base. There is a Paul Brong Machine Works, Inc., in Portland, OR, still in business but not making woodworking machinery as far as we can tell. We found a 1937 patent to a Paul Brong of Portland, OR, for a handpiece for a dental drill. We also found a 1985 patent assigned to Paul Brong Machine Works, Inc., of Portland, OR, for a combination cable crimper and cutter.
