This diversified company was active from the late 1880s until the 1960s, and possibly for much longer. In their earlier years they made woodworking machinery. Other products included brick-making machines.

Information Sources

  • The 1894-08-17 issue of Steel and Iron had this note: "The Central Machine Works, in North Minneapolis, Minn., were destroyed by fire recently. causing a loss of about $6000 partly covered by insurance."
  • This company was assigned a couple of patents, awarded 1926 and 1967, respectively. The first patent was for a brick-making machine and the second was for a springboard. The patents are not much help except to provide a couple of data points on their years of operation.
