The C.F. Scheer & Cie GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1890 in Stuttgart, Germany, as a metal foundry and machine shop. In 1899, Christoph Friedrich Scheer took over management of the company. Over the years, the company produced woodworking machinery—such as dowel boring machines, beam saws, veneer saws, and multiple boring systems (based in Wiernsheim/Germany)—as well as leading granulation and pelletizing technology for thermoplastics. In 2015, the company became part of the MAAG Group.
