The Buffalo Steam Roller Co. was the road-building division of the Buffalo Pitts Co. that introduced its first production model steam rollers in 1901. The company was known for heavy-duty, reliable machinery that defined early 20th-century road building. In 1916, the Buffalo Steam Roller Co. merged with the Kelly-Springfield Road Roller Co. of Springfield, Ohio.
