CompuDyne Corporation was founded in 1952 as a U.S. government defense contractor specializing in electronics. While the company evolved into a key provider of physical and electronic security systems, of interest to this site, in the late 1960, CumpuDyne created and sold the Contoura line of N/C controllers for machine tools.
