Buss Automation was a designer and manufacturer of specialized equipment for the woodworking and lumber industry, including roughing mills, lumber and panel stackers, conveyors, sanding machines, saws, etc. In a 1974 publication, they state that the company employed 50 people in a 23,000 sq. ft. plant on the outskirts of Lenoir, NC.
