The Coburg Maschinenbau AG (short COMAG) was founded in 1911 by the entrepreneur Franz Dornburg who had aquired the premises of the previous Flocken foundry and machine factory.
COMAG produced woodworking machinery until 1953 when it was in its turn sold to Kapp Machine Factory. Managing director was Bernhard Kapp who was also partner in the Waldrich Coburg GmbH.
Woodworking machines under the COMAG label were still produced by Kapp until 1962 when the woodworking machinery segment was sold to Spinnbau GmbH in Bremen-Farge. How long woodworking machines were produced there is unknown but there are existing machines which show "Bremen-Farge" on their manufacturer plate.
