The Pittsburgh-Erie Saw Co. was assigned a 1927 patent for a meat saw, which had a circular saw above a table, and the saw mounting slid along an arm that pivoted over the surface of the table—rather like a radial arm saw, but more dangerous.
In the 1950s the Pittsburgh-Erie Saw Corp. manufactured the "Pesco Cutlery Sharpener", a knife grinder that had been patented in 1954 (the patent application was made in 1950). The special integrated motor was manufactured by Filco Electric Motors, Inc.
