Portage Double-Quick, Inc. manufactured milling machine accessories and other machine tool items. They may have been a subsidiary of Portage Machine Co. but this is uncertain. We have also seen the name Portage Double-Quick Tool Co. A 1959 patent for a milling machine planetary head was originally assigned to Manchester Tool & Machine Co. of Akron, and a 1960 improvement was assigned to Portage Double-Quick, Inc., suggesting that there may be some connection between these two firms. By 1974, Portage had become the Portage Double-Quick Sales Division of the Portage Machine Co. of Akron, and Manchester Tool had become the Manchester Tool Division of The Warner & Swasey Co. of Akron.
