This maker of matcher heads and bandsaw filing machines was in business by 1881. The principal was George W. Amesbury, who received patents for both those devices.

- The March 1882 issue of Building Age has an article about a band saw setting machine: "Messrs. G. W. Amesbury & Co., of 3101 Chestnut street, Philadelphia, are introducing the band-saw setting machine represented in Fig. 4."
- Listed in the EAIA Directory of American Toolmakers as a maker of bandsaws and a bandsaw filing machine. It is possible that the "bandsaws" are actually the sawblades rather than the machines.
