USPTO = U.S. Patent Office . Images of the actual patent can be viewed on the U.S. Patent Office web site but a special TIFF viewer must be installed with your browser in order properly work. More information on how to configure your computer to view these patents can be found at TIFF image Viewers for Patent Images.
DATAMP = Directory of American Tool And Machinery Patents . A sister site to VintageMachinery.org with information on patents related to machinery and tools. A much easier user interface than the USPTO's for finding information on machinery patents.

Patent Number Date Title Name City Description
699,191 May. 06, 1902 Lubricator Oliver G. Kipp Rochelle, Ogle County, IL Abstract:
This invention relates to that class of lubricators in which a positive feed is secured and the quantity of oil delivered being under complete control.
Claim:
In a lubricator, the combination of an oil-reservoir, a cylinder supported by the reservoir, the lower end of the cylinder provided with an opening extending radially forming a communication between the cylinder and reservoir and a discharge-opening, a piston located within the cylinder and provided with a lengthwise slot which is located to one side of the center of the piston, a shaft, an eccentric supported by the shaft and located diagonally to the lengthwise direction of the shaft, and a connection between the eccentric and piston.
706,570 Aug. 12, 1902 Lubricator Oliver G. Kipp Rochelle, Ogle County, IL Abstract:
he object of this invention is to construct a lubricator for explosive-engines in which a io positive feed is secured and which is operated by the engine.
Claim:
he combination of an oil-reservoir, an outlet-passage leading from the reservoir, a cylindrical opening having a communication with the outlet-passage, a discharge-opening leading from the cylindrical opening, a cap for the cylindrical opening, a head located within the cylindrical opening having a shaft extension, means for imparting an intermittent rotary movement to the shaft, the head having a series of lengthwise chambers each having an opening through the periphery of the head, each chamber having a plunger, a spring for each plunger moving it in one direction and a cam moving the plungers in the opposite direction.
RE12,373 Jul. 18, 1905 Lubricator Oliver G. Kipp Madison, Dane County, WI Abstract:
This invention relates to improvements in lubricators of the sort in which a positive feed is secured and the quantity of oil delivered is under complete control.
796,659 Aug. 08, 1905 Lubricator Oliver G. Kipp, deceased (Estate of) Madison, Dane County, WI Savings Loan & Trust Co. of Madison, WI, administrator for deceased.
Abstract:
This invention relates to improvements in lubricators of the class in which a positive feed of the oil is attained and the quantity thus delivered is under control, it relating more particularly to improvements of the sort illustrated in the Patent No. 699,191, issued to me May 6, 1902.
Claim:
In a lubricator. the combination of an oil reservoir, a cylinder having inlet and outlet ports for the oil, a longitudinally reciprocating piston having a passage-way for oil therethrough adapted to be alternately brought into communication with said inlet and outlet ports, a rotating eccentric held in planes inclined to the axis of its rotation, a strap or loop engaging with said eccentric, and a power-transmitting rod connected to the piston and hinged to the strap on an axis intersecting the axis of rotation of the eccentric.
827,402 Jul. 31, 1906 Lubricator Alexander A. Stelting Madison, Dane County, WI Abstract:
This invention relates to improvements in force-feed lubricators, particularly of the type adapted to feed heavy lubricants under high pressures to the cylinders of steam-engines and for similar purposes.
Claim:
In a lubricator, the combination of an oil-reservoir having side, end, and bottom walls, a block having a vertically-arranged oil-cylinder therein, said block resting against the bottom wall of said oil-reservoir and detachably secured to one of the side walls of the oil-reservoir, a vertically-arranged plunger in said oil-cylinder, there being an oil-inlet duct leading from the interior of said oil-cylinder to the interior of said reservoir and an oil-outlet duct leading outward from the interior of said oil-cylinder, and power-transmitting means arranged within said oil-reservoir for actuating said plunger.
865,221 Sep. 03, 1907 Lubricator Frank D. Winkley Madison, Dane County, WI Abstract:
This invention relates to a force-feed lubricator and has its object to simplify the construction therein and to produce a mechanism the parts of which are few in number and easily machined and assembled.
Claim:
In a lubricator, the combination of a cylinder, a piston working therein free to reciprocate longitudinally and to oscillate about its axis, a drive shaft, two cams on the drive shaft, one arranged to give motion toward and from the axis of the shaft and connections between the said cams and the piston arranged respectively to reciprocate and to turn axially the piston.
865,315 Sep. 03, 1907 Lubricant Feeding and Distributing Mechanism William E. Parr Madison, Dane County, WI Abstract:
This invention relates to improvements in devices for supplying lubricant from a vessel or receptacle by forced pressure and for distributing it in continuous or intermittent. streams to each of several ducts which carry it to different points of final delivery.
Claim:
In a lubricating mechanism, the combination of the lubricant receptacle, a pump fitted therein and having its cylinder secured to the inner face of one of the walls of the casing of the receptacle, distributer, also secured to the inner face of one of the walls of the receptacle, and having a lubricant chamber, connections between the pump and the distributer arranged outside the receptacle and extending through the walls thereof to make connections with the said parts respectively, means for operating the pump arranged within the receptacle and a valve within the lubricant chamber of the distributer also operated from within the receptacle.
868,585 Oct. 15, 1907 Force-Feed Lubricator Albert A. Stelting Madison, Dane County, WI Abstract:
This invention relates to improvements in force feed lubricators. It pertains particularly to mechanism for actuating a pump plunger adapted to draw lubricant into and expel it from a pump cylinder.
Claim:
The combination with a rotary driving shaft and a plunger adapted to be reciprocated thereby, of an eccentric mechanism mounted on said driving shaft and comprising independent elements mounted on said shaft and eccentrically thereto and adapted to be adjusted relatively to each other to vary the eccentricity of said eccentric mechanism relatively to the axis of said driving shaft, and power transmitting devices interposed between said eccentric mechanism and the said plunger.
