Established in 1922 by William P. McIlvanie, the McIlvanie Machine Works is best remembered as the maker of "Century" engine lathes and drill presses. They also manufactured key seaters, and during the 1930s through '50s they made a circular ripsaw for manufacturing apple boxes.
