Between 1922 and '29 the variously named Model Machine Shop or Model Machine Works or Model Machine Works, Inc., of 712 North Main Street in Glendale, California, was manufacturing metalworking tools and machines.

  The Model Machine Works, Inc., of Glendale, California, builds power saws, sensitive drills, surface plates, bench grinders, drilling, grinding and buffing stands, small saw benches and other tools and appliances of interest to the machine and allied trades. Photographic views are herewith reproduced showing the interior of this shop as a whole and also certain operations on different classes of work and various products of the shop.

  Power Saw, Vise, Surface Plate, Saw Bench and Grinder

  The illustrations how some new tools manufactured by the Model Machine Works, Inc., Glendale, California. The power saw, Fig. 1, is one of several sizes, known as No. 3 with motor drive, forced feed lubrication, gravity pressure feed and automatic stop when the stock is cut off. It is especially suited to general shop use. It takes up to 42 inch stock and is equipped with General Electric 1/4 horsepower motor.

  The vise in Fig. 2 is for use on milling machines, and other machines and for general purposes. Its jaws are 6 inches wide and have a maximum opening of 7 inches. The jaws are positioned or adjusted to any location along the base by means of the crank handle shown at the right, thus providing rapid adjustment to desired position.
