In about the mid-20th century the Weems Machine Co., of Quincy, Illinois, manufactured a 14-inch bandsaw and a 16-inch disk sander. A search has failed to turn up any information at all about this firm. Inquiries to the Quincy Library, Chamber of Commerce and City Clerk did not turn up any information.
