Beginning in the 1950s the Winslow Product Engineering Corp. manufactured air-operated drilling machines. That product was soon joined by the "Winslowmatic" line of automatic drill grinders.
In 1984 the Winslow corporation was acquired by Canadian conglomerate AMCA, which was also the parent company of Giddings & Lewis. The former Winslowmatic line became the "Winslow" line, and was sold under the Giddings & Lewis name.
