The machinery dealer and manufacturer William Urquhart was established in about 1904, and continued unti at least the 1960s. Judging by the ads we found, they were most active in the 1950s. Their factory was the Ace Works in the South London district of Tooting. We have seen a drilling machine bearing a William Urquhart label and the name "ACE". Based on this combination we believe the machine was manufactured by the Urquhart firm.
