"Balance-Pressure Rotary Engine Co.; to manufacture engines, boilers, blowers and pumps; capital $50,000. Incorporators: William Hoffman, No. 214 Maryland street; Edward A Piall, No. 1095 Perry street; all of Buffalo" (NY). (Quote from 1908.)

William Hoffman patented a rotary steam engine in 1908 and assigned it to the aforementioned company.
