Grinding & Polishing Machinery Corp., also known as G & P Machinery was in business by 1955 and made abrasive machinery, including an abrasive belt grinder. They were a small and fairly low-profile operation but they were still in business in the early 2000s.

- 1969 Arizona Annual Report, Pest Control lists "Federal Chemical Company, Inc., 2530 Winthrop Ave., Indianapolis, IN". Presumably G & P had moved to Tobey Drive by this time.
- 1974 Woodworking & Furniture Digest (volume 76, p. 102) has an ad for Grinding & Polishing Machinery Corp. / 2802 Tobey Dr., Indianapolis, Ind. 46219".
- 1977 Index of Trademarks Issued lists trademark 889,022, U. S. Class 23, to Grinding & Polishing Machinery Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., as canceled. This mark was registered 1970-04-07 to Grinding & Polishing Machinery Corp. / 2530 Winthrop Ave. / Indianapolis, Ind. 46205" for a mark reading "G & P Machinery" with a horizontal line between "G & P" and "Machinery" and all contained in a rectangle with rounded corners. This mark was for "spindle stands with oscillating spindles for mounting grinders, belt adapters for grinding machines, swing-frame polishing units, custom built machines for deburring, finishing and polishing, abrasive belt grinders, abrasive swingframe grinders, and clicker die sharpeners, in Class 23." First use 1966-02-01.
- 1983 patent # 4,369,606 was grated for an abrasive head to Ralph E. Reiman and assigned to Grinding & Polishing Machinery Corp. of Indianapolis.
