Aviation, Vol. 42, No. 10, Oct. 1942, Pg. 326
This company was founded by George A. Terry, who was a builder of special instruments and apparatus for dentistry by 1911. On May 3, 1916, incorporation papers were filed for George A. Terry Co. by Mr. Terry, Thomas M. Royle, and Clifford E. Rose, with $10,000 capital. In 1918 the name changed to George A. Terry Manufacturing Co., with the same three officers.
The company specialized in dental instruments until World War II, by which time the name was again George A. Terry Co. Apparently as part of the war effort, Terry applied its dental drilling technology to aircraft construction, and developed angle and flexible drilling attachments. By 1990, the name was Terry Tools, Inc. The company appears to have closed in 2016. Production and support is now by Bliss Machine, Inc., Arcade, NY.
