Founded in 1979 after the merger of WACO and Jonsereds AB's woodworking machines department was bought from Elektrolux by WACO. 1983 Waco Jonsereds AB moves from WACOs old premises to a new factory in the former premises of AB Malcus Holmquist, who got acquired by SKF.

In 1985 Waco Jonsereds AB acquires Jonsereds AB Systems once a department of Jonsereds AB manufacturing special machinery for mechanizing planing mills.

Waco Jonsereds AB moves in 1989 to their new factory buildings in Fyllinge, a small village outside of Halmstad.

In 1992 Waco Jonsereds AB was acquired by the German company Michael Weinig AG.

In 2015, with customers in over 50 countries, Waco Jonsereds AB is discontinued.
