Super Speed Press Corp. sold high-speed punch presses that were patented in 1927 and 1938. The presses were manufactured for them by Ferracute Machine Co. of New Jersey. The patent describes the presses as intended for cutting cardboard but Super Speed Press Corp. marketed them as general-purpose presses that could stamp out and shape sheet-metal parts—as many as 1000 cycles per minute.
