In the late 1950s and early '60s, the Bowlathe Co. made a bench-mounted faceplate lathe for turning wooden bowls.

Also badged Brodhead-Garrett model J-116 and seen in on page 12 of their J-Line catalog

Trademark 717,506 was issued 1961-06-27 for the word "Bowlathe" in reference to lathes. The first use was 1958-12-07 and first use in commerce was 1959-05-07.
