This patent number was seen in a 1954 advertisement from Albert J. Tatu, Inc. "Back again! 4 tools in 1. Bigger! Improved! / the complete Metal Work Shop / Forms / Shears / Punches / Rivets". Another ad, which is more detailed, says that it can punch holes in metal up to 16 gauge and 1" from edge. Available dies (round) 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch in 1/32-inch increments; (hex)1/8, 3/16, 1/4; (square) 1/8, 3/16; (rectangular) 1/8 x 3/16, 1/8 x 1/4. The inventor was vice-president and general manager of Fedders Mfg. Co., of Buffalo, makers of air conditioners and air cleaners. |
