We have a report of a cast iron belt-driven grinder with the name "Bradley Polytechnic Institute / Peoria Illinois" cast into it. Now Bradley University, BPI was a private university established in 1896-97. This grinder was likely made as part of a foundry/machining course early in the 20th century.
