Colton Combination Tool Co. manufactured adjustable tool holders that could be used on lathe, planers or shapers. It began in Easthampton, Mass., and moved in early 1910 to Chester, Vt. It does not seem to have remained in business for very long.

The controlling stock of the Colton Combination Tool Co. of Easthampton, Mass., has been bought by the business men of this town and the shop is to be moved here. It will be located In the building owned by Dorand Bros, on Main street., recently occupied by the wrapper factory of the Pollard Mfg. Co. R. E. Colton is to have charge of the manufacturing. It is hoped they may be in running order by January 1. The officers of the company have been elected as follows: resident, Gorham C. Parker of Hartford, Conn.; vice-president, W. A. Feltt; secretary and treasurer, P. K. Heald; directors, C. E. Colton, C. O. Fullam, L. A. Carpenter, W. O. Davis and E. J. Davis.

Double Inserted Blade Tool-holder: Colton Combination Tool Co., Chester, VT. This tool-holder provides for the use of two blades, the second of which is set slightly ahead of the front one so that roughing and finishing cuts can be taken. With this arangement an fine finish can be given, even while the leading blade is removing a heavy chip.
