AKA Craven Iron Works.
      In the 1864 James Gresham patented an improved water injector for steam boilers, which feed water into a pressurized boiler. The Manchester firm of Heron, Gresham & Craven was founded in 1869 by Thomas Craven joined John Spier Heron and James Gresham to manufacture it.
      In 1875, Mr. Heron left the firm and the company was renamed Gresham and Craven.
      In 1959 the firm became a subsidiary of Westinghouse Brake and Signal Co.
