The Holt Manufacturing Co. of Oakland, California was a leading manufacturer of floor sanders and other floor maintenance machines. In 1948 Holt also made 7 and 9-inch angle sander-grinders, the Holt Whirlwind Spinner
The company was later called Pullman-Holt after merging with a vacuum cleaner manufacturer, and moving to Tampa, FL about 1977. Pullman-Holt's 2002 catalog included floor sanders, but those were apparently discontinued by its successor firm, Pullman Ermator.
