Vise
|
Julius J. Cowell |
Weedsport, NY |
Quick-acting vise where the jaws can be skewed out of parallel. An example is seen that closely matches the patent drawing, including the decorative elements. It says, "LIGHTNING VISE" on the side and "J. J. Cowell" on the underside. Based on research by Todd Werts plus the J. J. example example reported to us, it appears that this vise was originally manufactured by Capital City Machine Tool Co. and then by J. J. Cowell Machine Works. |
