Christian A. Salzman was the inventor of a combination vise-anvil-drill in the mid-1890s, which was manufactured by Kennel & Salzman and possibly by a successor firm, Kennel, Salzman & Neely. That firm was succeeded by Salzman Manufacturing Co., but by that time it appears that the combination vise was no longer being made.

Two of Christian A. Salzman's patents are also listed as being manufactured by Chicago Flexible Shaft Co. although there is some question whether that firm made the patent vise or just a very similar design not licensed by Salzman.
