Trenton Vise & Tool Works operated from 1865 to 1892, when they were acquired by Van Wagoner & Williams Hardware Co. The firm was incorporated Mar. 5, 1868 as Trenton Vise & Tool Co. by J. Howard Murray, Thomas S. Murray, and others. Several 1873 advertisements stated that they were owned by Hermann Boker & Co., the New York, NY, hardware import merchant and manufacturer. Trenton Vise & Tool Works may have manufactured some of William E. Snediker's vise patents.
