The Coronet Tool Co. was in business by 1949, when they were making a combination woodworking machine based around a tubular lathe bed. The company founder, Charles Parker, was also their machine designer. 1949-06-23 The Model Engineer: "The Coronet Tool Co., of Derby, are offering as a Competition prize at the "M.E." Exhibition a Coronet Home Cabinetmaker 3-ft combination lathe complete with circular saw, value £13 10s. It is to be awarded to the best exhibit in what we consider to be the most suitable section for such a prize. Should the winner so desire, he may have, instead, a voucher to the value of £10 towards the purchase of any other equipment from The Coronet Tool Company’s lists."
