Though much better known for their fishing reels, the Meisselbach-Catucci Manufacturing Co. also made gears, gear-cutting machinery, drill chucks, tool grinders, and turntables. The data points we find for those activities are all in the 1912 to 1915 era so their metalworking machinery venture seems to have been short-lived.
Information Sources
- We first learned of this maker from a patent, granted to Pliny Catucci and assigned to this firm, for a clever drill press (or lathe) chuck that could be released from the far end of the spindle via a drawbar.
- 1914-15 issues of Machinery provided the information on the machines manufactured.
