The Grönkvist Drill Chuck Co. was established about 1905 to manufacture a patented drill chuck. Some surviving examples have been reported, and when in good condition they work well. These distinctive chucks have no visible jaws or sleeves, the bit can be changed without stopping the drill, and it automatically centers and tightens the bit.
