458,550 Aug. 25, 1891 Process of and apparatus for separating dust from air Oswald Kutsche Chicago, IL "My invention relates to the art of separating dust from air in flour and other mills, factories, &c., and has for its object the accomplishment of such separation in a simpler, more practical, and inexpensive manner than has heretofore been possible. Screens have been extensively used for this purpose; but separators or collectors built on this principle are necessarily bulky and do not free the air from dust as thoroughly as is desirable. It is the object of my present invention to devise an apparatus which should dispense with screens and perform their function in a more effectual manner than has heretofore been possible..."
