From 1913-01-02 American Machinist

In 1906, Fred Schneider of Cincinnati was advertising his services as a machinist and model maker under the name F. Schneider Machine and Model Works. Beginning in 1909, the Fred Schneider Machine Tool Co. began selling a small metal planer. The following year the name changed to The Schneider & Goosmann Machine Co., and at the same time they introduced a milling attachment for their planer. Until 1913 we can find the occasional ad or article about the company and their products. A 1922 city directory still lists the company but that is the last mention of them we can find of Schneider & Goosmann. Meanwhile, 1921 Cincinnati newspapers carried an ad for "model work, experimental and special machinery" from Fred Schneider Machine Co.
